MAGA Lies: July 4–7, 2025

Below is a list of false claims made by prominent MAGA figures between July 4 and the morning of July 7, 2025. Each entry includes who made the statement, what was said, and why it is untrue.

1. “The Big Beautiful Bill protects Social Security.”

Who: Trump administration officials, including the Social Security Administration

Why it’s a lie: The bill does not safeguard Social Security. Independent analysts project it will accelerate Social Security’s insolvency by a year due to lost tax revenue, putting future benefits at greater risk.

2. “The passage of the Big Beautiful Bill will lower energy bills for all Americans.”

Who: President Trump and White House spokespeople

Why it’s a lie: The bill eliminates clean energy tax credits, which is expected to increase household energy costs by over $100 next year and more in subsequent years. Energy analysts predict higher, not lower, utility bills for most Americans.

3. “No one will lose their health coverage under this bill.”

Who: President Trump, various Republican leaders

Why it’s a lie: The bill’s Medicaid cuts and new eligibility requirements will strip health insurance from millions, including children, seniors, and disabled Americans. Nonpartisan estimates show at least 7.8 million will lose coverage in the first year.

4. “Egg prices are down thanks to the new bill.”

Who: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

Why it’s a lie: Egg prices have not significantly dropped as a result of the bill. Any recent changes in egg prices are due to market fluctuations and supply factors unrelated to the legislation.

5. “Men have been removed from women’s sports nationwide.”

Who: President Trump, MAGA surrogates

Why it’s a lie: There is no nationwide ban. While the bill includes provisions affecting transgender athletes’ participation in some federally funded programs, it does not create a blanket ban, and enforcement varies widely by state.

6. “Historic new trade deal signed this week will bring back millions of jobs.”

Who: President Trump

Why it’s a lie: No new trade deal of historic scale was signed during this period. Claims of “millions of jobs” returning are unsupported by any official agreement or economic data.

7. “The July 4th protests in Los Angeles were violent insurrections funded by Democrats.”

Who: President Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Stephen Miller

Why it’s a lie: The protests were overwhelmingly peaceful. There is no evidence of Democratic funding for violence, and the scale of unrest was greatly exaggerated for political effect.

8. “The Big Beautiful Bill reaffirms President Trump’s promise to safeguard veterans’ benefits.”

Who: Trump administration officials

Why it’s a lie: The bill cuts food assistance and healthcare for tens of thousands of veterans, including 100% disabled vets. These cuts directly harm veterans and their families.

9. “Project 2025 is a hoax made up by Democrats.”

Who: Project 2025 Director Paul Dans, MAGA commentators

Why it’s a lie: Project 2025 is a real, published policy agenda supported by numerous conservative organizations and former Trump officials. Trump’s own aides are involved, despite public denials.

10. “Texas floods are fake—just a plot to control us.”

Who: MAGA Congressional candidate Kandiss Taylor

Why it’s a lie: The Texas floods were real, documented by meteorologists and emergency officials. Claims that they are “fake” are baseless conspiracy theories.

11. “Alligator Alcatraz is proof of our commitment to public safety.”

Who: White House Press Secretary

Why it’s a lie: The so-called “Alligator Alcatraz” is a publicity stunt with no measurable impact on public safety or crime rates.

12. “America is more united than ever after passing the Big Beautiful Bill.”

Who: President Trump

Why it’s a lie: Polls show the bill is highly unpopular and has deepened national divisions, with widespread protests and bipartisan criticism.

13. “No one will lose food assistance—only fraudsters.”

Who: Republican House leaders

Why it’s a lie: The bill’s new work requirements and eligibility restrictions will remove food aid from millions of working families, seniors, and veterans—not just those committing fraud.

14. “Trump’s military strikes on Iran were universally successful and supported.”

Who: President Trump and surrogates

Why it’s a lie: The strikes were criticized internationally and domestically, with no consensus on their success or necessity. Claims of universal support are false.

15. “Men won gold medals in women’s boxing at the Paris Olympics.”

Who: President Trump

Why it’s a lie: Both gold medalists in women’s boxing were cisgender women. There is no evidence that men competed or won in these events.

16. “The new law will not increase the deficit.”

Who: President Trump, GOP leaders

Why it’s a lie: The Congressional Budget Office and independent economists agree the bill will add trillions to the national deficit over the next decade.

17. “Trump is not connected to Project 2025.”

Who: President Trump, Project 2025 spokespeople

Why it’s a lie: Multiple former Trump officials are leading Project 2025, and its policy agenda is closely aligned with Trump’s own public statements and administration actions.

18. “The bill will create peace and prosperity for all Americans.”

Who: President Trump

Why it’s a lie: The bill’s provisions disproportionately benefit the wealthy, cut vital programs for millions, and have already sparked widespread unrest and economic anxiety.

This list covers the most prominent and widely circulated false claims made by MAGA figures from July 4 to July 7, 2025, with clear explanations of why each statement is untrue.

This Is a Warning—And Texas Is Just the Start

What happened in Texas wasn’t just a “natural disaster”—it was a man-made tragedy, and it’s a preview of what’s coming for the rest of us if we don’t wake up.

Because of the mass firings at NOAA and the National Weather Service earlier this year (thanks to DOGE and the “efficiency” crowd), our weather system is broken. The experts who keep us safe—meteorologists, data analysts, the people who launch weather balloons and fly into hurricanes—have been gutted. The result? Delays in collecting storm data, slower and less accurate forecasts, and warnings that come too late or not at all.

-Hurricane tracking is less accurate because there are fewer flights and less real-time data.

Weather balloons aren’t being launched in key areas, so we’re flying blind on severe storms.

-Forecasts are less frequent and more automated, which means more mistakes and less time to prepare.

-Multilingual alerts are suspended, leaving non-English speakers at even greater risk.

-Critical staffing shortages mean there just aren’t enough eyes on the radar when it matters most.

Texas paid the price. But this isn’t just about one state or one storm. This is the new normal—unless we demand better.

We are heading into the heart of hurricane and severe weather season with a crippled warning system. If you think Texas was a fluke, think again. The next tragedy could hit anywhere—your town, your family, your friends.

We deserve a government that protects us, not one that fires the experts and leaves us in the path of disaster. If you’re not angry yet, you’re not paying attention. This is a problem, and it’s only going to get worse if we don’t speak up and hold those responsible accountable.

Trump’s weekend Cost to American’s

Let’s Talk About Priorities: Trump’s July 4–6 Weekend, Wasted Millions, and What That Money Could Have Done

While Texans were drowning and our weather warning system was gutted, here’s where your taxpayer dollars went over the holiday weekend…

Trump’s Weekend of Self-Celebration

July 4th “Big Beautiful Bill” Flyover

-Trump threw a massive military flyover to celebrate his bill signing—costing up to $2 million for a single spectacle.

Golf Outings

-He spent the weekend golfing at his own resorts. Each of these golf trips costs $3.4–$4.2 million in taxpayer money for Air Force One, security, and all the trappings.

Mar-a-Lago Parties & Fundraisers:

-Lavish parties and fundraising dinners at his private club, with the taxpayer picking up the tab for security and logistics—$3–$5 million per weekend.

Just the cost of the flyover could have paid 100 critical weather experts for over two months.

One golf trip or party could have kept 100 meteorologists and data analysts on the job for almost half a year.

These are the very people who could have given Texans (and all of us) the warnings and information needed to stay safe.

Instead, that money went up in smoke—literally—while lives were lost and our disaster response system was left to rot.

If you’re not furious, you’re not paying attention. This is what happens when ego and spectacle matter more than public safety.

We need leaders who invest in people, not parades and parties.

The latest government spin on the Epstein Files

Trump loves to tease “transparency” about the JFK and MLK files, always promising he’ll release everything… then backpedaling with, “Well, people asked me not to, it could hurt a lot of folks, maybe I will, maybe I won’t.”

When it comes to the Epstein files, he’s even slipperier. Asked point-blank if he’ll release the so-called “Epstein list,” Trump literally said, “Well, maybe. Maybe not, because it could damage a lot of people.” Translation: He’s not going to do it, and he’s already laying the groundwork to protect the powerful—maybe even himself.

And today, the DOJ and FBI (under Trump’s own administration) dropped a memo saying there is NO “Epstein client list.” They claim they found nothing—no blackmail files, no secret list, nothing to see here, folks. They also doubled down that Epstein’s death was a suicide, not a hit job.

So after years of hype, conspiracy, and “just you wait” promises, the official line is: there is no list. It never existed. Move along.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk (yep, still feuding with Trump) posted a clown meme mocking the administration’s “Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter” at zero—basically calling out Trump for protecting the same elites he always rails against. Musk even hinted Trump’s own name might be in those files, then deleted the post, but the message was loud and clear.

Trump talks a big game about exposing secrets, but when it comes to the real dirt—he hides behind excuses and lets the system protect itself. The DOJ says there’s nothing to release. Musk’s clown meme says it all: the joke’s on us.

If you’re still waiting for accountability, don’t hold your breath.
